Why this invitation exists

Real advisory does not fit a 30-minute slot.

The topics that protect capital — M&A red flags, NIS2 liability, post-breach recovery — demand time and trust. Two hours on the course replace three quarters of relationship building. You play, I listen, and by hole seven you have an answer to the question you would not ask any vendor.

How it works

Four steps. Zero pitching.

01

You apply

Short form: who you are, which security topic is on your desk. Three minutes. Handicap is optional — beginners use the driving range.

02

We pick 5 attendees

We curate for relevance, not titles. Operating partners, portfolio CFOs, M&A advisors and mid-market CEOs are equally welcome.

03

The Woodlands Team books the tee time

Frankfurter Golf Club, Mainz-Wiesbaden, Bad Vilbel — anywhere in the Frankfurt region.

04

Two hours of honest sparring

No slides, no recording, no follow-up funnel. You walk away with concrete answers — or a clear no on Woodlands. Both are fine.

Who this is for

Five seats. Four profiles.

PE / VC Operating Partners

You own portfolio risk without a CISO backbone. You want to know which cyber topics actually destroy value between term sheet and closing.

Portfolio CFOs and CEOs

You carry liability under NIS2 and DORA. You want a peer-level sparring partner — not a vendor with an 80-slide deck.

M&A Advisors / Family Offices

You structure deals and want to understand how cyber due diligence shifts valuation — before the next audit lands on your desk.

Mid-market CEOs

You just survived your first incident — or you want to prevent one. We talk straight, no cyber theatre.

Common questions

Things people ask first.

I have never played golf. Am I out?+

No. Beginners are explicitly welcome. We start on the driving range. The game is the occasion, not the point.

What is the cost?+

Nothing. Green fee, caddy and equipment rental if needed — all on Woodlands. You invest time, nothing else.

Is this a sales pitch?+

No. It is sparring. If business follows, great. If not — no drama, no nurture sequence. You walked away with two hours of honest advisory.

Who decides who gets in?+

The Woodlands Team. We curate for relevance of topic, group fit, and honest interest — not for title or company size.

How many rounds per year?+

Four — one per quarter. Maximum five attendees per round. 20 seats per year total.

What if I am not selected?+

You receive an honest reply within 14 days. If you want, we propose an alternative: a 30-minute call, whitepaper, or the next round.

Rather speak directly?

Sometimes a 30-minute call beats waiting a quarter.

If you have an acute cyber topic — live due diligence, NIS2 audit next week, incident in flight — book directly. The golf invitation runs in parallel.
